Many women chose to have Network Care either in preparation for pregnancy or during pregnancy.
During pregnancy a woman's body goes through many changes - physically and hormonally. The hormones combined with the amazing process of becoming a Mum (for the first time or subsequent) also affects women feel about their body, their life, their career and so on.
Network Care can support this journey of change, increasing physical comfort and integration of thoughts and emotions.
During pregnancy the Mum's body is the environment for her growing baby so the more relaxed and at ease she is, the better the experience will be for her child to be.
Rachael is certified in the Webster Protocol and uses a very gentle modified version of this approach. Webster protocol is commonly used late in pregnancy to create more space for the baby. It has been associated with up to 80% success rate with Breech presentations where the baby has turned to normal position. Usually between 2-8 sessions are required. It is thought to work by freeing up restrictions in the pelvis and associated uterine ligaments. As these relax, the uterus also relaxes creating more space for the baby to turn. Gravity assists as the heavy head of the baby naturally wants to go down at this stage in pregnancy.
For women who have care throughout the pregnancy Webster protocol is rarely needed, though the need will be regularly assessed.
