Somato Respiratory Integration

Every posture we adopt has associated behaviours, thoughts and feelings. 

For example if we round and droop our shoulders we are likely to feel low, miserable or lacking self-confidence and accordingly our behaviours will reflect this. We'll probably be shy, struggle to engage with people or even if we do feel pain on the inside. We may miss opportunities to grow, have fun or progress at work. Conversely, if your natural posture is open and relaxed you are going to have more confidence, productive and joyful experience of life and are likely to be successful and fulfilled. 

SRI helps you to explore the relationship between our posture, thoughts and feelings in the most profound way I have yet to come across. And more than that, it gives you the tools to change your structure and hence experience a wider range of emotions and thoughts, giving you a toolbox for personal growth. 

There are 12 SRI exercises. 

SRI 1-3 help people to Discover more about their body when their thoughts and feelings are concerned with suffering, disconnection, blame, magic bullets and frustration.

SRI 4-7 teach people about connecting to inner courage, conviction, strength and using their minds to recognize how they have been and how they want to be. Through focussed attention and these stages people learn to take control of their healing and lives and support sustainable change and growth. 

SRI 8-12 help people to experience their authentic self, what they can bring to the world and to become aware of the other peoples energies beyond the self. They support sharing our gifts, community, service, love, gratitude and joy.

As people work through the 12 SRI stages, we consistently see them able to release tension and pain from their body, recognize when they are in destructive patterns that hinder their healing or growth. We see people become empowered, creative, take actions they never thought possible and connect to joy, gratitude and true sense of purpose. 

The 12 Stages can be used to support and deepen NSA or can be used as a standalone approach to health and wellness. If you want to be considered for the latter please contact the office. We only have limited spaces currently for pure SRI centred work. 

So many people are surviving our current stressed fill world, but so few are really thriving and getting the most from life. SRI is one of those tools that can really enhance your life and bring freedom to really express your individuality and live the life of your dreams.
