World Spine Day
Saturday 12th November 2011
The
World Health Organization (WHO), states that 80% of all people at some point in
their lives are affected by back pain.
In 2008 the Swiss
Chiropractic Association examined 530 young people’s spines on World Spine Day.
The results showed 51% of the children examined reported back pain. Furthermore, 46% of them had postural
asymmetries due to muscular imbalance or spinal restrictions.
Spinal problems in adults
can cause pain, affect health and wellbeing and cost socially and economically. Spinal problems in
children are also associated with poor concentration, lack of confidence and
many other complaints. These are often related to spinal changes which started
at a young age.
At Chiropractic 4 Health, Saturday 12th November 2010, chiropractors Rachael Talbot
and Suketu Frank will offer free spine
and posture examinations
An examination of the spine of
your child can identify postural asymmetries before they become a problem. An
examination as an adult can be the starting point for improving your wellbeing.
Advice will be available on how to promote good posture and spinal development.
